Cross your fingers for me!

Well, Bess and I are off to see Grandma in New Hampshire tonight. I'm really hoping that Bess still travels well! This is a picture of her on the plane coming back from NH two years ago. It would be great if she looked just like this on the plane tonight - and I know the other passengers would appreciate it, as well! Wish us luck!

The girl likes to read!

Yes indeed, she definitely does! I guess she takes after me that way ;) We are often pulling out stacks of books for her to work her way through. Sometimes she reads quickly, and sometimes she goes through each book many times. One of my favorite things is hearing her read stories to herself. The secret is to listen to her when she doesn't realize you're there! That's not invasion of privacy, is it?

Bess ponders the nature of circles

Well, I'm obviously guessing here. I mean, who knows what she is thinking about! I love the look on her face - she can look so grown up at times. This is from the 4th of July "Fair" in our town. Bess had lots of fun eating hotdogs, playing in the bouncy house, decorating a frisbee, and spinning on the merry-go-round with Daddy.
